If you've fully read the IGN article about Bungie's plans for stat tracking then you'll know what I'm talking about. If not you should go read it before voting. Those who are willing to be a part of this "Department" should post that they are willing, and want to be a part of this. Thanks! ;D

Sounds like a great idea, but how will it work?

Basically a few members will study the other Clan, then decide how we should apraoch them. We'll have a seperate page with detailed maps, with labels on all openings (point A, point B etc...) And we'll draw out a "Game Plan". So far it's just a sketchy idea, but I know at least one person who's eager to do this. I'm eager as well ;D

Knowledge is power... Accurate intelligence and a good strategy will help to make this clan unstopable... MUAHAHAHAHA!!! You know I am in on this Shadow. ;D

So they will use that game map thing that shows all the deaths and stuff on the site, study how they fight, then find a weakness? Sounds like a cool idea, if you can get it to work.

I think that's really overcomplicating the game.
I'm more of a on-the-spot kind of person, I don't really like thinking out a deep plan beforehand, especially when it has a high chance of failing.

Well, we could make it not such a big deal, so that we don't play the game just based on what the team finds out. But we could have it so we know a little more about their gameplay, to help out a little. We could always get rid of it if it didn't work.

That sounds like fun. It will make Halo 2 abit military though.

Basically it will be set up to find out how the other Clan likes to do things. Do they like to perch and Snipe? And so on and so forth. It would just be a helpful hint, not necessarily a "You have to play like this!" type of thing. No one wants to make Halo2 not fun by overcomplicating things. But if people want to study and find out, I don't see how it could hurt. And GLo, you could still play your way, but have that extra info on the other team. Plus you could just ignore the info alltogether.

Fine, change my vote to yes (just render a "no" vote useless).

The potential that the Bungie site offers makes it almost foolish to not at least make an attempt at studying the opposition. If you feel that it is too military - just remember that there are over a million subscribers to X-box Live, many of whom will play H2 - and many of whom will be militaristic about it. This may be just for fun - but it's more fun to win. Besides, noone will be holding a gun to your head and demand that you learn a "playbook maneuver" type of strategy. This department is simply there to give us a better chance against those who will drill their teams in plans of attack and engagement patterns. It would be pointless to dash off into the fray and allow ourselves to be broken against an enemy with superior tactics. Also - it will give us an idea of how to improve our own games if we analyze our own matches.
